Shinichi is generally considered to be the smarter of the two characters in Detective Conan. As a high school detective, Shinichi has exceptional deductive reasoning skills and a keen eye for detail. However, Conan, who is actually Shinichi transformed into a child, also possesses a high level of intelligence and often uses his childlike appearance to his advantage in solving cases. Overall, both characters are highly intelligent, but Shinichi's experience and maturity give him a slight edge in terms of intellect. **
